GENERAL INFORMATION

Dreamland Academy of Performing and Communication Arts is the new visual or performing arts charter school that will turn your child into a master of his or her craft. We offer programs that provide challenges, creative inspiration, and a focus on arts-based education.

Dreamland Academy offers all the opportunities of a private school with none of the cost.

The Dreamland Academy of Performing and Communication Arts provides elementary students in grades K-5 with a quality educational experience designed to strengthen their reading and language skills. Because the arts provide a route through which students can experience essential curriculum and cultivate academic skills, Dreamland staff uses art to open students’ learning channels and develop among them high literacy, high reading competence, and self-directed learning skills.

Dreamland’s curriculum is steeped in academic content standards and arts instruction, offering dance, music, theatre, and written communication experiences. Teachers serve as talent agents who develop students’ academic and artistic talents through reliance on multiple intelligences, creative thinking, cultural diversity, learning styles, literacy development, and expansion of students’ natural artistic and musical talents.

Parents interested in a school experience with the following characteristics should consider Dreamland:

  1. Student nurture is at the core of the school curriculum. Dreamland promotes an inviting school climate where all elements of the school offer respect, kindness, and consideration to each child;
  2. Individualized programming: Dreamland staff will work with all students to ensure proper focus on the development of each child as an individual who has a unique set of talents and skills;
  3. Specific focus and development in reading, learning, and language development: students who have failed before or who need assistance in reading, writing, and solving mathematical problems are ideal students for Dreamland as we will create individual responses as well as group responses that channel learning through musical and artistic performances.

We offer hope to parents who need to enroll their children in a responsive, caring, and supportive school environment that also offers academic programming centered on developing students into great speakers, readers, writers, thinkers, and solvers of mathematical problems. Our staff is top notch!
