After School Care

Dreamland Academy's Aftercare program is a fun way for students to reinforce the skills they have learned in the classroom. Students engage in enrichment activities and take part in various physical activities throughout the week. The State of Arkansas law mandates that literacy and math instruction be the primary focus of these programs. However, the programs also attempt to offer the following:

  • Assistance with homework assignments
  • Library time for research for class assigned projects
  • Reading instruction
  • State-mandated end-of-course remediation
  • Self-esteem and character education classes
  • Health classes
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Physical activities (dance, exercise, etc.--These are contingent upon availability of instructors)
  • Art or music (contingent upon the availability of instructors)

Dreamland Aftercare programs is a wonderful opportunity for students to express their creativity and build self-esteem, it's also a place where students have a chance to complete their homework assignments and receive a nutritional snack as well. Aftercare hours are from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. For more information about Dreamland Academy Aftercare programs call Mrs. Taylor, Ms. Donald or Mr. Howard at 501-562-9278.
